The City of Central is currently operating under the 2009 International Building Codes. All contractors are required to have a Contractors License and a Business License prior to the issuance of a building permit. The Fee Schedule is based on the 2009 Building Codes.

Historic Preservation
The City of Central is located in a National Historic Landmark District. Any improvement/modification/alteration to the exterior of a building located within the City limits is subject to review and approval by the Historic Preservation Commission and/or the Historic Preservation Officer. For more information regarding the review process and the purpose of the Historic Preservation Commission please refer to Chapter 16, Land use Code, Article XI, Historic Preservation.
