Central City is accepting applications for a Municipal Service Worker II.  Must have the ability to do semi-skilled and skilled manual labor, lift and carry up to 75-100 lbs., work outdoors for extended periods of time and work snow plow shifts as needed.  CDL preferred.  Hourly wage range from $15.69 to $21.33 DOQ

  The City of Central is proud to announce that after many years of planning, the Main Street Streetscape project is finally coming to fruition.  Over the course of the next few months the City’s Main Street will be completely redone.  The new Main Street will feature brick pavers and stamped concrete as well as greatly improving the safety of the sidewalks on the street.  For more detailed information on this exciting project please feel free to call City Hall at 303-582-5251.  Please be patient as this project will be impacting the use of Main Street for driving, parking and pedestrians to some degree throughout the project.  The City thanks you in advance for your patience and support!

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF CITY WIDE FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING AND MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

BEGINNING AUGUST 24, 2010 THROUGH THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

 Central City Public Works will be conducting fire hydrant servicing operations from August 24, 2010 through September 2010. 

 Customers may experience brief fluctuations in supplied water pressure, volume, and could experience discoloration of the water.  These fluctuations are considered normal for this procedure; if you experience persisting abnormalities please contact City Hall – 303-582-5251

Notice is hereby given that letters of intent will be accepted until August 17, 2010 at the Central City Clerk’s Office, 141 Nevada Street, Box 249, Central City, CO 80427, for appointment as Alderman for the vacant seat up for election on November 2^nd and the remainder of that term to January 2011.

Appointment will be made at the special meeting of the City Council, to be held Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at 6:00 p.m., City Hall, 141 Nevada Street.  All letters of intent must be in the City Clerk’s Office no later than Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
